Experiences with Twitter?
I have used Twitter since I was fifteen. However, I used it more for connecting with classmates and teammates on a social platform. I never thought it as a way to connect with those that are in the same field of work or those who desire similar career paths as I do. In this class where I created a different account geared towards a certain career made it easier to gain ideas and connect those who are similar in aspects of what this class is. Following this class assignments, possibility later into my career I will use social media platforms such as Twitter to connect to others or organizations that are similar in my workforce.
Digital Divide:
I do believe digital divide is still a very prominent situation to this day and can be for many years down the road. It can affect how students learn and complete assignments that are needed. Maybe in middle school and high school students can get away with not having access to technological tools, but in college it is a necessity. That can be where the gap of how students learn can be located in how different students study based on the knowledge of the use of different applicators on a laptop or PC. Yet, again it times of COVID, not a lot students could have the means for ZOOM calls and completion of work online. Divide does not even have to occur at home, but even institutions who do not have the funds for up to date technology have to refer to older ways of teaching, which can put students at a disadvantage compared to other schools.
Making those adjustments as much as possible to accommodate those who have less or have more. It will be challenging no matter what route it takes. All students are at different levels, but finding middle ground is the best route to go.
I also have been using twitter for quite a while. It can be used to connect with like minded-people as your feed will reflect your interests and see others that are interested in the same topics. I also agree that the digital divide is a problem becasue students don't have the same access to neceassary resources. COVID has really affected studnets' learning becasue of the change to remote learning and all students not having the same access to resources.
